Administrative Divisions of the United Kingdom*

This is the administrative divisions of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland in a little project me and Ares96 (thearesproject in Deviantart) have been working on.

The coloured entities are the Home Nations and the provinces of England, the main devolved entities (Home Rule all around). The various provinces and Nations are divided into counties (Wales, England, Ireland) and shires (Scotland), although within the provinces of England, the darked-shadowed metropolitan counties (London, Merseyside, SELNEC, West Midlands) are somewhat autonomous from the provinces themselves as they possess and inordinate amount of autonomy larger than that of the baseline counties. In the case of Ireland, in between the counties and College Green (the All-Ireland government), there are the four provinces, which manage some coordination measures, especially in the sparsely populated west of the country. In Ulster, the province is governed by the Council of Ulster, a body formed by TDs and representatives from the counties forming Ulster and with a larger degree of autonomy from Dublin to satisfy Unionists there, especially with regards to religious and social matters.
